KGL International for Ports, Warehousing and Transport (KGL PI) (KGL PI) announced that it has obtained the ISO 9001:2000 certification for the quality management system.

Speaking in a ceremony that the company held for receiving the certificate from the certification body Mohammed Al-Mazeedi, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, pointed out that the intensive effort KGL PI exerted to obtain the ISO certification is in line with its commitment to serve its customers in accordance with the highest quality and efficiency standards.

“Being a customer focused company, we always dedicate our utmost endeavor to supply our clients with quality service that not only meet their full requirements and satisfaction, but also exceed their expectations,” He added. 

He mentioned that, now being an ISO-certified company, would add another dimension to our competitive advantages portfolio. As an international company in the port industry, complying with all international standards, will also provide us with additional core competency and foster our well-reputed corporate image that we have developed over the past years as a next generation, internationally recognized preferred developer and operator of ports on a global scale.

Abbas Al-Rasheed, the Corporate Communications & PR Manager, the head of ISO team, pointed out that this accomplishment is a result of full dedication, allegiance and involvement of all KGL PI staff and the spectacular effort they have demonstrated over the last nine-month period.

Kenneth Bedward, the Chief Commercial Officer, Salem Qabazard, the Chief Human Resources and Support and the staff of the company, attended the ceremony. Khaleel Basha and Ravi Kalimutha, representing Al-Nour Consultancy Company, who worked closely with the ISO team to qualify KGL PI for the certification, also attended.

From Intertek, the ISO Certification Company, who issued the ISO certification, both Nitin Shahani and Venkatsubramaniam Sankar attended this celebration.
