In 1996, parent company KGL was awarded the contract for ‘Container Terminal Operator’ at Shuaiba and when KGL PI branched out as their new professional subsidiary for ports, these responsibilities were handed over to them on December 31, 2004.

SACT is the first  Port in Kuwait  with capabilities and reputation to  handle huge     vessels with deep draft of  more than 14 meters and more than 300 meter LOA(Length Over All) in berths designed for both Industrial and commercial traffics for Import and  Export activities of  commercial goods. The port is strategically positioned in an open seas no shallow waters for vessel maneuvering and quick turn around .

Current SACT handling capacity is over 350,000TEU’s per year.
